Prince Edward opens 2013 Balmoral Show at the Maze: Day One in Pictures
The Balmoral Show has kicked off at its new home at the Maze prison site outside Lisburn.
Motorists faced delays this morning in and around the area as an initial tranche of visitors arrived for the first day of the massive agricultural show.
Tens of thousands are due to attend the event - one of the biggest to take place in Northern Ireland.
Drivers had been urged to plan their journey carefully to avoid potential traffic woes.
After more than 100 years at the same site, Ireland's biggest agricultural show has made the move from the King's Hall in south Belfast to the new Balmoral Park.
The event - which is in its 145th year - runs until Friday.
Visitors have also been urged to use free public transport including free shuttle buses for the show between 8.30am and 9pm.
