Wednesday, 6 January 2010
The Belfast Telegraph's website continues to set new benchmarks for page impressions and unique users after completing an ABCe audit to independently verify its traffic figures to industry agreed standards.
The ABCe certificate issued for belfasttelegraph.co.uk confirms that in the audit period October 1 to October 31 2009 there were 1.2m unique users and 11.2m page impressions recorded.
The figures show an increase of over 400,000 unique users and nearly 7m page impressions compared to the 2008 ABCe audit for the same period.
ABCe audited data provides the online media industry with a trusted and robust currency on which media space can be bought and sold, and delivers to the market independent assurance that a website is attracting the size of audience it claims.
Belfast Telegraph's nijobfinder.co.uk was also audited for this period confirming 96,096 unique users and 2.2m page impressions.
Sam McIlveen, belfasttelegraph.co.uk Digital Publisher, said: “We are delighted with our October ABCe figures which confirm that we more than doubled our page impression traffic since October 2008.
"Over 11 million page impressions is a tremendous result and testimony to dedication of our digital publishing team both in terms of editorial content and site development.
"The audit further enhances the credibility of our new recruitment platform nijobfinder.co.uk which was launched in May last year as part of the Belfast Telegraph’s total recruitment solution combining the power of press advertising with the flexibility and extended coverage of on-line.
"It is now the number one jobs site in the Northern Ireland market place in terms of listings and audited audience”

"ABCe audited figures continue to provide the online media industry with an important tool to support media buyers and advertisers in their buying decisions, and for the market as a whole to demonstrate accountability of spend online."
