A mobile technology company with a base in Belfast has won new business in the Netherlands.

TotalMobile, which has recently moved from Antrim town to new premises at Clarendon Dock, has signed a deal with Aenova BV, a leading software company based in Delft.

The announcement was made by Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster at the annual Northern Ireland-Netherlands Trade and Export Society dinner in Belfast this week.

TotalMobile - a subsidiary of Consilium Technologies - specialises in products which help companies increase the productivity of their remote staff.

The firm, which has one of the fastest growing public sector customer bases in the UK, first broke into the North American market in 2008. This year the firm increased its Northern Ireland-based staff by 10% to a total of 90.

The company intends to grow staff numbers over the next year to support planned expansion in the UK and North America.

The new deal originated from Invest Northern Ireland's 'Going Dutch' initiative which has helped a number of small to medium-sized enterprises here access the Netherlands market.

Colin Reid, TotalMobile managing director, said that Aenova is an "ideal fit" for the firm.

"Aenova will integrate our software within its solutions and also market it as a standalone product and market it to existing and new customers," he said.

"The partnerships will also allow us to target new opportunities in healthcare."
