An engineering company with a base in Cookstown, Co Tyrone, has just sold a major new piece of equipment to an English firm following an open day for leaders in the industry.
CDE Global has sold a new construction and demolition waste recycling plant to JPE Aggregates for its waste recovery operation at Elford Quarry in Staffordshire.
CDE Global recently hosted visitors from throughout Great Britain at an open day at Gleeson Quarries near Laffansbridge, Co Tipperary, to watch the washing plant process waste material from the dry crushing and screening process to produce washed sand and aggregates.
Agreement was reached on the new washing plant following extensive trials and attendance by representatives of JPE Aggregates at the two open days.
According to JPE Aggregates, the decision was based on securing a plant which would most effectively clean the recycled material, accommodate the plant and offer a low cost per tonne over the life of the plant.
Managing director Steven Birch said: "We felt it offered the best solution to our immediate needs at Elford whilst also offering flexibility to allow for future expansion."
