The world airline fleet is likely to double over the next 20 years, plane-maker Boeing forecast. In the years to 2031, global airlines will need 34,000 new planes worth around £2,900bn, said the firm.
European airlines will need 7,760 new aircraft worth around £620bn, Boeing predicted yesterday. The biggest demand will come from the Asia Pacific region.
