Two Co Down businesses have signed up to a green energy deal with local supplier Energia.
Energia said Banbridge Golf Club would save up to 15% on electricity costs, while also reducing its carbon footprint.
Gilford restaurant Sax on the Street has also signed up to an Energia deal.
Club captain Dougie Stevenson said: “Energy is one of the club’s major outgoings so it made perfect sense for us to switch to Energia’s new energy tariff.” Gareth Murphy, manager of Sax on the Street, said: “The new energy supply deal was a fantastic opportunity for the restaurant as it’s saving us money on electricity costs while also enabling us to take action in reducing the restaurant’s carbon footprint, which is an important issue for consumers.”
Energia, which is part of the Virdian Group, has 250MW of renewable electricity capacity.
