New store openings in shopping mall create 22 jobs
Thursday, 2 September 2010
Rushmere Shopping Centre announced the arrival of the retail arm of mobile phone giant O2 and fashion jeweller Karine & Co to the Craigavon complex.
The arrival of the two new stores means the centre is now home to nearly 70 major UK high-street retailers.
Martin Walsh, manager of Rushmere Shopping Centre, said the new additions would broaden the choice available to shoppers.
"The arrival of these two well-known brands will be a positive addition to the scheme and we continue to provide our customers with one of the widest retail offerings in Northern Ireland," he said.
"We are optimistic that consumer confidence is returning after a period of uncertainty."
Karine Trabelsi, director of Karine & Co, said the company had been looking for a unit in Rushmere for six years.
"This will be the seventh store we have opened in seven years and because we originate from Portadown, we have always wanted to expand our growing business to the scheme here."
