Leading integrated marketing communications company, Pierce Communications is going on the road this autumn to encourage more local companies to maximise their online presence through better understanding and implementation of Internet Marketing and social media practices.
The series of breakfast events which are free to attend, will provide invaluable insights into how every business, in every sector can make the most of their website. The first roadshow event will be held on 29 September at the Pump House in the Northern Ireland Science Park, Belfast from 7.45am-10am. The team will then take the roadshow to Portadown and Derry/ Londonderry where attendees will hear from local businesses and online experts.
Speaking at the first stop in the tour will be Sam McIlveen, Digital Publisher at Independent News and Media Group, which owns the Belfast Telegraph, who said ahead of the event:
“In an age where almost all businesses of all sizes have some level of online presence we recognised that just having a website was no longer enough. We re-evaluated our online strategy and invested in a site redesign and search engine optimisation plan for our .nijobfinder.co.uk site. As a result the site is now the number one job site in Northern Ireland having witnessed a 100 per cent increase in traffic. If you are serious about business then you need to be serious about your digital marketing. At the roadshow you will find out a range of tried and tested techniques for your business so you can achieve the same level of online success."
Richard Clement, Internet Marketing Director at Pierce Communications added: "Most organisations are aware of the importance of having a company website yet many do not maximise this essential tool to its full potential. Search engine optimisation, creative design, navigation and functionality are a few of the more important elements worth considering when designing and marketing a website. This event will hear from leading experts and local companies with tips, strategies and real-life examples that local businesses can utilise and refer to when outlining their own Internet marketing strategy.”
Also speaking at the roadshow events will be Jennifer Clear, owner of www.bestbirthdays.com which witnessed a 50 per cent increase in the site’s conversion rate after implementing a robust search engine optimisation strategy, and Mark Nagurski, Digital Champion at Derry Chamber of Commerce who is responsible for advising SMEs on how to harness the Internet for business and promoting the creative digital sector in the North West.
