Reforms needed to meet renewable energy targets

Northern Ireland's ability to meet renewable energy targets will be in jeopardy unless urgent reforms are undertaken to improve ageing infrastructure, according to experts.

The comments come in the wake of a major renewable energy conference in Belfast last Thursday hosted by international law firm Pinsent Masons, Strategic Planning and Agenda NI.

Around 120 delegates attended the event, which was held at the Titanic Quarter, to hear about the economic opportunities and environmental and other challenges facing DETI in its pursuit of clean energy objectives.
