Top 100 company promotes Seaton to new CEO

The company that last year headed the Belfast Telegraph’s list of the top 100 companies in Northern Ireland has appointed a new chief executive.

Resource Group, which operates support services including facilities management, security and cleaning, said it had promoted Dave Seaton to the role.

He succeeds Paul Bean, who Resource said had stepped down as chief executive last month to pursue an unnamed venture of his own. Mr Bean was part of the team which led a management buy-in of Maybin Support Services NI to form Resource in 2006 but only succeeded Terence Brannigan in the top job at the start of last year.

Resource was ranked as Northern Ireland’s largest company last year following the completion of its acquisition of Pall Mall, the UK cleaning and security services arm of Carillion.

It has annual revenues of around £150m and employs some 11,000 people.
