A TRIAL has started into the death of a geologist in the first prosecution of a business for corporate manslaughter under new legislation. No-one was in the dock at Winchester Crown Court but the firm, Cotswold Geotechnical (Holdings) Ltd, denies it unlawfully killed Alexander Wright in 28. Mr Wright (27) from Cheltenham was killed when a trench he was working in, taking soil samples, collapsed.
