Women entrepreneurs receive advice at forum

Business women from across Northern Ireland were converging on Malone House in Belfast today for the 2009 Business Advice Forum.

The free admission Women in Business event, supported by Invest NI focused on supporting female entrepreneurs.

Throughout the day a panel of business advisors and speakers was on hand to discuss key issues with delegates.

Among the experts were representatives of BT, Northern Bank, Manley’s and Time Associates. Among the issues being covered were cashflow management, smart technology, branding, public sector procurement and online marketing though Facebook, Myspace and Twitter.

The event also featured addresses by six speakers during the morning and participants were also able to visit a number of promotional stands.

Christine Boyle, chair of Women in Business, said she was delighted by the level of interest shown in the event.

She added: “Today we have in excess of 100 business owners meeting with 20 experts and advisors.

“We are delighted that through our support from Invest NI we are able to offer so much advice and guidance to so many businesses from all over Northern Ireland”
