Company Snapshot: Langford Lodge Holdings (NI) Ltd

Langford Lodge Holdings, Co Antrim, reports each year with consolidated results including its subsidiary, Langford Lodge Engineering.

The Northern Ireland companies are subsidiaries of RLC Engineering Group, a company registered in the Isle of Man. RLC Engineering is ultimately controlled by the Trustees of the Holt and Burrell Will Trust.

The main business of the local companies is supplying precision manufacturing for the aerospace industry. Operating profits have improved, more recently reaching nearly 13% compared to a under 7% in 2004.

Capital expenditure varies from year to year but, in recent years has been lower than the permitted allowances for deprecation. The balance sheet valuation of capital assets has fallen by £1.1m during the last three years.

The balance sheet value of shareholders funds peaked in 2008 at £19.1m. In the more recent year, it fell by £1.3m to £17.8m. Langford Lodge, as a subsidiary of RLC Engineering, is a related business to Ronaldsway Aircraft and Callender (Lancashire) Aeroport. The annual report shows significant transactions with each and with the parent company.
