£13m Dublin distillery under way
Construction on the new €15m (£13m) Dublin Liberties Distillery and visitor centre in the city has begun.
The project will see the 300-year-old historic Old Mill Street building redeveloped, conserving its original architecture.
Darryl McNally, general manager and master distiller at the Dublin Liberties Distillery, said: "Our goal is to become one of the leading whiskey producers in Ireland."
The distillery and whiskey brand are owned by UK firm Quintessential, led by former investment banker Warren Scott. The distillery will be completed in around 12 months.
