AEO status for Hamilton Shipping

Published 08/05/2009

Hamilton Shipping has become the first company in Northern Ireland to be granted Authorised Economic Operator or AEO status.

The introduction of AEO status is the EC’s response to the need to secure international supply chains and to the US Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. The aim is to provide business with an internationally recognized quality mark which will indicate that their role in the international supply chain is secure and that its customs controls and procedures are efficient

‘AEO is a Government led audit of our financial status, security and customs procedures. Achieving this accreditation gives our local and international customer base a guarantee that Hamilton Shipping is a secure, safe and reliable trading partner,’ commented MD, Gordon Hamilton
