Apprentice among new trainees at BDO Belfast headquarters

Accountancy firm BDO Northern Ireland has recruited 18 new trainees for its Belfast headquarters. The new intake includes an apprentice, as the firm embraces the new Higher Level Apprenticeship model for getting young people into the workforce.

Adam McDonald, a former pupil at Banbridge Academy, is the company's second apprentice. The new intake includes an apprentice, as the firm embraces the new Higher Level Apprenticeship model for getting young people into the workforce.

Senior partner Nigel Harra said: "The 18 new additions have the chance to learn from some of the very best professionals and work with many of the most interesting organisations in Northern Ireland.

"Graduate recruitment has been a major success for us in recent years. The vast majority of recruits remain with us after completing training contracts."
