Co Tyrone businesswoman and mother of three Shauna McCarney-Blair launched her company after searching, without success, for baby food to cater for her children's allergies. She wanted a weaning product that was gluten and dairy-free and packed with wholesome ingredients.

Shauna spotted a gap in the market and Heavenly Tasty Organics was born.

From small beginnings in the village of Augher, the family-run business is building an impressive export portfolio that includes the UK, Ireland, France and the Middle East.

Now the firm is moving into the Spanish market, in a deal worth £250,000. Heavenly's organic snacks - featuring "superfoods" like kale, spinach, coconut milk and buckwheat - will be available in four of El Corte Ingles' supermarket stores from next week and a further 43 hypermarkets and 55 supermarkets from February next year.

The company will also be launching in a number of other Spanish retail stores from the end of January .

Shauna said: "We are thrilled to be working with El Corte Ingles, one of the leading retailers in Spain, and along with our recent deal to export to France, it is creating the opportunity to bring out products to global markets which has been our aim from the start.

"2015 has been a very exciting year for us, with the launch of our new product range and the unbelievable response we have had from retailers."

And the European expansion continues, with plans to break into the German market, targeting health food stores and the vast network of organic supermarkets.

Shauna has also been exploring opportunities in Austria and Switzerland, and there are possibilities further afield, too.

"Invest NI had some Mexican buyers over last week and we had a meeting with them. We're hopeful of a move there. Plus, we're interested in China and we've registered our trademark there. There's a big demand for western organic baby food and we are keen to explore the market."

Olive Hill, Invest NI's director of trade, said: "Heavenly Tasty Organics is making impressive strides with securing new export business. This latest deal is an exciting new development for the company which will help leverage additional sales in the Spanish market."

And there are major developments on the home front for Shauna, too.

She's expecting her fourth child in March.
