Four jobs are being created in Londonderry with the opening of a new bank branch.

Bank of Ireland will open premises at Culmore Road in the city as part of a £10m investment in Northern Ireland.

The jobs will include a full-time business advisor and a mortgage advisor who will operate between Culmore Road and Strand Road in the city.

There will be customer parking and an external ATM for 24-hour access to cash.

Joe Crowe, head of branches at Bank of Ireland UK, said that the new branch is ideally located to support the growing number of small businesses in the area.

"This will be our 36th branch in Northern Ireland, clearly demonstrating our commitment to the region and to developing our retail and commercial banking business in Northern Ireland," he said.

"We look forward to opening our doors in March and welcoming new customers to our modern, open plan branch with our highly trained staff ready to meet the needs of each customer.

"We are excited to make this announcement.

"The new Culmore Road Branch will provide a state-of-the-art banking environment for personal and business customers and is ideally located to support the growing number of small businesses in the area," he added.
