A Belfast brewery and drinks business has secured the exclusive rights to sell and distribute beers from one of the USA's top breweries.

San Diego-based Stone Brewing has been producing some of the world's top rated beers for 20 years. Now, it's being imported exclusively into Northern Ireland by Phoenix Premium Drinks Limited.

"We're excited to see interest in craft beer continue to grow in Europe," Stone co-founder Greg Koch said. "We looked for a distributor partner as committed to delivering fresh craft beer as we are and one that would handle our beers as carefully as we brew them.

"Phoenix Premium Drinks meets all of our high standards, including refrigeration throughout every step of the distribution process."

Niall McMullan, managing director of Phoenix Premium Drinks, said: "Our business has been built on bringing the world's leading craft beers to Northern Ireland. Stone Brewing Company brings a new flavour and style to the market and we are excited about working with the team to maximise the full potential of this iconic range."

Founded by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, Stone Brewing is now the 10th largest craft brewer in the US, and has also just launched a brewery in Berlin.
