Belfast Telegraph website is proving a big hit with readers
The Belfast Telegraph has once again demonstrated its position as a leading news provider with a record number of people logging onto its website last month.
The newspaper's online platforms posted record traffic results for January — attracting 1.4 million unique users and more than 17 million page impressions.
Belfasttelegraph.co.uk accounted for 14.1 million page impressions — a year on year increase of 5.6 million — and 1.24 million uniques, the highest figure since the site was relaunched in 2008.
“January's record traffic figures are a credit to our small team of digital journalists,” said online editor Jerome Crolly.
“Their dedication and skills have helped make belfasttelegraph.co.uk one of the most popular regional news sites in the UK and Ireland.”
Superb online coverage of January’s two big news stories — the Iris Robinson scandal and the Haiti earthquake — helped bolster figures as people all over the world logged onto belfasttelegraph.co.uk to get the latest headlines.
Nijobfinder also posted record results with 2.4m page impressions in a single month.
