Belfast-based cosmetics firm's profits soar by more than 50%
A local cosmetics company has reported a jump of more than 50% in sales to £244,000. Belfast-based B Perfect Cosmetics has also secured a deal with Gordons Chemists to stock its tan, eyebrow and mascara products in 35 stores.
The make-up company was founded by Brendan McDowell three years ago.
Its products are also sold online and through 152 stockists in Northern Ireland and the UK, and 126 in the Republic.
Mr McDowell said: "I had a vision for B Perfect to be the leading, home-grown cosmetics brand in Ireland, and to be one step closer to that is just fantastic."
Helen Smyton, from Gordons Chemist, said the family business which was keen to support Northern Ireland brands.
"We have enjoyed strong sales on the product in 10 of our stores, which led us to rolling the product out to 35 in total," she added.
