The restaurateur behind Harry's Shack in Portstewart will be sharing the secrets of his success at a conference for entrepreneurs next month.

Donal Doherty will address the Lead2Grow micro-business conference in Coleraine on February 23.

He will relate how he opened his restaurant on Portstewart Strand in August 2014, only for it to be named Ireland's best restaurant a few months later.

The conference at the Causeway Coast Vineyard centre is organised by the Causeway Enterprise Agency.

Chief executive Jayne Taggart said: "Micro businesses - those that employ less than 10 staff - make up 95% of Northern Ireland's business population."

She added: "By their nature, these businesses have limited capacity to develop the leadership skills to grow their enterprises and are often family run by owners who do not even view themselves as leaders."

Around 150 micro-business owners are expected to attend the event.

BBC The Apprentice: You're Fired panellist and entrepreneur Lara Morgan will also share her leadership advice with delegates.
