Breweries raise glass to 'Real Ale' sales rise
200 new breweries have opened in the UK thanks to a surge in interest in 'real ale' according to a study.
The number of drinkers trying real ale for the first time has also increased by 40%. The Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) said there were now over 800 breweries in the UK. Camra said its research also revealed that the number of breweries in London had doubled since 2006 to 14, with another five being developed.
