British Airways has a long-standing commitment to serving the local business community in Northern Ireland and we're delighted to announce that we've returned as sponsor of the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

As the leading and most respected business awards ceremony in Northern Ireland, this event provides British Airways with a perfect opportunity to recognise local excellence and applaud the incredible work demonstrated by companies from across the region.

Year after year, we continue to be impressed by the dedication, determination and innovation shown by local organisations across all major areas of business life - from export and marketing to innovation and service provision.

Belfast Telegraph Business Awards gives British Airways the perfect chance to recognise excellence

We take great pride in playing a part in celebrating all of those companies which operate at such a high level and which continue to play a vital role in the continued growth and success of the Northern Ireland marketplace.

Belfast City to London Heathrow is an important route for British Airways and crucial to the Northern Ireland economy. The service also provides connectivity for local business passengers and cargo traffic to the airline's extensive global network of over 140 destinations worldwide from London Heathrow - essential for the continued development of business, commerce and tourism.

Business passengers can choose from up to seven flights a day from Belfast City to London Heathrow, with a wide range of departure times to facilitate the needs of all our customers, whether for day trips or for longer stays.

All flights from Belfast City Airport arrive into Terminal 5, the airline's flagship Heathrow home. As a result, customers benefit from smoother and quicker connections through the airport to onward British Airways flights.

For passengers arriving into Terminal 5 and travelling into central London for business, they have a quick and easy access to the frequent and fast Heathrow Express service into Paddington Station.

A bus service and the Piccadilly tube line also run directly from the terminal.

British Airways also supports local companies through our 'On Business' loyalty programme, which ensures that your business travel budget can go further, earning On Business points or a discount on every qualifying flight taken. These points can be redeemed for upgrades, reward flights and hotel accommodation.

Finally, we'd like to encourage all businesses to take time and enter the 2016 Business Awards. We had some great entries last year and are looking forward to seeing the high calibre of nominations this year.

Not only will well deserved success at the event provide a strong platform to highlight the merits of your own business, but the awards ceremony itself also serves to emphasise the strength of Northern Ireland businesses.

British Airways wishes you every success with your entries to the awards.
