Business gurus to share secrets of their success

Queen's University graduates are returning to Belfast tonight to share the secrets of career success in the financial sector.

A panel of guest speakers, chaired by TV presenter Lynda Bryans, will give students advice on job skills needed to succeed in the corporate financial world.

Most of the attendees will be from the university's Management School.

Jean Stirrup, head of Careers, Employability and Skills, said: "This event provides a unique opportunity for Queen's students to learn from high-achievers who will share their experience of working in the financial world during a period of global economic recession and their expectations for the future."

Belfast-born businesswoman Nicky Kinnaird recently spoke to Queen's Management School students about her achievements with Space.NK. Her beauty retail venture has 62 UK stores and 16 in the US.

The panel for tonight's 'City Event' includes Patrick Magee, a managing director in the JPMorgan Cazenove Industrials corporate finance team; Aidan McKeown, a structurer for StormHarbour Securities; Declan Tiernan, a managing director at UBS Investment Bank and Sean Hunt, a managing director at Deutsche Bank.
