Car production steps up a gear

CAR production accelerated last year, making a big recovery after a slump in 29. A total of 1.27m cars were produced in the UK - a 27.1% increase on the 29 figure, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said. Commercial vehicle production also rose by 35.7% to 123,19. Business Secretary Vince Cable said the increase is good for the sector, jobs and economic growth.
