US bank Citigroup, which has an office in Belfast's Titanic Quarter, has seen its profits jump 74% in the third quarter.
It made £2.4bn in the third quarter of 2011, the company's seventh consecutive three-month period of profit. Reduced impairment charges and an accounting gain were behind the buoyant numbers, according to the bank.
