The  event, which takes place at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa,  is supported by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Tourism Northern Ireland, and will be staged as part of the annual Hallowtides calendar of celebrations taking place in the town over Halloween.

Drinks exhibitors at the festival include Whitewater Brewery, Kilmegan Cider, Farmageddon Brewery, Tempted Cider, Hughes Spirits (Ruby Blue vodka) and Shortcross Gin, and local food producers include Kearney Blue Cheese and Fivemiletown Creamery.

Stephen Meldrum, General Manager at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa, said:  “We are thrilled to be hosting an incredible new festival that lovers of good food and drink will be flocking to in their droves.

“Our Beer, Cider, Spirit and Cheese Festival will showcase many of County Down’s finest brands who will be there to talk about what they do with such enthusiasm that it’s impossible not to get totally drawn in.  On top of that there will be lots of food and drink to sample to ensure a good time is had by all."
