Co Down software development company Tascomi is creating at least 10 jobs as part of a bid to grow in England and Wales.

The company, which is based in Hillsborough, specialises in web software for local government in the UK and Ireland.

Its software is used in the electronic management of services such as public protection and building control licensing.

Now it's using £600,000 in finance from the Growth Loan Fund to increase its workforce of 28.

Finance for the Growth Loan Fund is provided by Invest NI and the Northern Ireland Local Government Officers' Superannuation Committee (NILGOSC). Richard Martin, managing director at Tascomi, said: "The business has gone from strength to strength and we feel the time is right to add to our exceptionally talented workforce."

The company also hopes to break into Canada.
