Co Down skills training company workers face redundancy threat

By Margaret Canning

A skills training company has said it is making a "small" number of redundancies at one of its offices in Co Down. A spokeswoman for PeoplePlus NI said redundancy could affect a "small" number of roles.

There were no details on how many staff work at the office - one of around 10 People Plus premises here.

"Due to falling demand for youth training in Downpatrick, a number of staff members have been advised they are at risk of redundancy, but I can confirm at this stage no redundancies have been made and there are no plans to close down the office," a spokesperson said.

"PeoplePlus NI remains committed to ensuring all young people on our training programmes continue to receive a high-quality training service and can confirm that all learners will be able to complete their courses."

PeoplePlus NI is part of Staffline Ireland, which also includes Staffline Recruitment.
