More than half of employers have recruited someone who did not fit into their organisation or performed badly, according to research.
The survey by online site CareerBuilder in 10 countries, including hundreds in the UK, revealed that those in Russia, Brazil and China were most likely to have been affected by a "bad hire". One in four of those questioned in the UK said the problem had cost their company more than £50,000.
