A home improvement company in north Belfast has said sales are up by nearly 20%.

Betterhomes said it was benefiting from more people spending money on their houses.

And it is set to rebrand the company, and redesign its two showrooms, in a total investment of over £100,000.

The business, which was set up in 1998, has over 100 staff. It specialises in uPVC windows, doors and conservatories and last year started supplying and fitting kitchens.

Director Gary Sinnerton said: "We will be investing over £100,000 in the new works, which will include a company re-brand and entire new marketing strategy which will be rolled out over the next 12 months.

The company has been awarded a customer satisfaction score of 98% by Network Veka, a body set up to maintain standards in the uPVC, doors and conservatory world. It has won the Best in Ireland award from Network Veka for the last four years.
