Business advisory firm Deloitte has launched its first "human capital academy", so that job-hunters can acquire the skills the firm is looking for.

The academy will provide 20 graduates with the skills and experience needed to take up new opportunities with Deloitte.

Those who complete the programme will be given the chance to apply for work with Deloitte.

The Department for Employment and Learning, which has helped set up the academy, said the skills being sought include project and programme management skills, as well as "change management, organisational design and leadership expertise to manage and solve people issues".

Applications close on July 31 and the programme starts on October 5.
