New lingerie shop Boux Avenue - owned by Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis - is set to open in Belfast's Victoria Square Shopping Centre with the creation of 14 new jobs.

Mr Paphitis started Boux Avenue in 2011, selling "luxurious but affordable" lingerie, nightwear, swimwear and accessories.

The entrepreneur also formerly owned lingerie label La Senza. Boux Avenue will open its doors in Victoria Square on October 22.

The 56-year-old bought the UK and Ireland franchise of Canadian label La Senza in 1998 and sold it to private equity firm Lion Capital in 2006.

La Senza went out of business in the UK last year.

Mr Paphitis said: "I'm thrilled to be opening our 28th store in the UK, and our first ever store in Northern Ireland. It's a really exciting time for the brand.

"Victoria Square is a fantastic, modern shopping centre in a thriving city.

"I'm excited to see what the future will bring here in Belfast."
