Drainage company taps into EU market with new water system

Lisburn-based APT Innovations is exporting its innovative water drainage system across the UK, Europe and Scandinavia following a range of support from Invest Northern Ireland. At the announcement are Olive Hill of Invest NI with Jason Paul from APT Innovations

A Lisburn company is set to export a new water drainage system across the UK, Europe and Scandinavia.

APT Innovation's Floe product was designed to remove water and any impurities from the water pipes in touring and static caravans, motor-homes and domestic houses.

Research at the University of Ulster, undertaken using an Invest NI innovation voucher, proved the product was 99.95% effective.

APT Innovations recently discovered Floe could also cleanse the internal components of domestic boilers, extending the component life and reducing the consumer's fuel bill by up to 20%.

Jason Paul, owner of APT Innovations, said the company received great support from Invest NI.

"The agency provided the resources and expertise we needed to develop our product and market it to new export customers," he said.

"As a result, we are now selling the Floe system in 12 countries and are making inroads to selling it throughout the US and also Canada."
