Entrepreneur quits media firm he set up
Irish entrepreneur and former TV anchorman Mark Little is to leave the multi-million media start-up he founded.
Mr Little, a former RTE journalist, said he is stepping away from Storyful and has currently no "absolute certainty" as to his next career move.
"It's not an easy decision but it's a good one," he said. "It's my decision alone."
In 2013, Mr Little sold Dublin-based Storyful to Rupert Murdoch's News Corp for €18m (£12.8m).
Since then, the company has grown from 30 people to 90 people with multiple offices around the world.
Last year, Mr Little stepped down as chief executive of Storyful and assumed the title of director of innovation.
"I've reached that sad but glad understanding that my precious little baby is all grown up and doesn't need me any more," he said.
"I'm exhilarated by what might come next."
Describing itself as a "news agency designed for the social media age", Storyful verifies video footage and social media content.
