Estate agent Templeton Robinson helps build for the future with Habitat for Humanity

Estate agency Templeton Robinson has teamed up with the global housebuilding charity Habitat for Humanity on a social enterprise project.

Templeton Robinson will ask contractors on new builds to donate any leftover construction materials to Habitat ReStore. And the firm will encourage customers who are buying a new home and planning to replace the kitchen to consider donating their unwanted units to the charity. These will then be refurbished and made available to low income families.

The estate agency will also help to support orphaned children in Malawi. Senior partner Beth Robinson said: "Habitat provides holistic support to ensure young people have the life and the future every child deserves, and we're delighted to be supporting such valuable global projects as well as vital schemes locally which will make an enormous difference to families here."

Habitat ReStore is located at the Riverside Centre, Young Street, Lisburn and a second store is due to open soon at Larne Road, Ballymena.
