Final countdown to turn your app ideas into reality

Northern Ireland innovators have less than one week to stake their claim for a prize worth £20,000.

The free-to-enter App for Life competition run by Belfast Telegraph Northern Ireland's leading digital agency, Origin Partners, is seeking a mobile app idea that can improve any aspect of modern living.

Development support worth £20,000 is available to translate the top concept into a real-life application. The top three entries will also each win a tablet computer with an iPad and two Nexus 7 units up for grabs.

Ideas can be related to any aspect of modern life. As long as it can help people in any way you could be in with a chance to win.

Jerry Staple, operations director at Origin Partners, said: "Apps don't have to be complicated to be brilliant.

"All it takes is one really great idea to change how we talk, learn, play or keep healthy. Only the concept is needed and no knowledge of programming is necessary."

The App for Life competition is free to enter and is open until October 12.
