Financial services firms 'have catching up to do' on female chief executives
Just one in 14 chief executives of financial services firms are women, new research has found.
A study of more than 2,600 regulated financial services firms showed 7% had female chief executives, the same percentage as in 2013.
DHR International said its report also found that only 13% of directors in the sector were women.
Stephane Rambosson, managing director of the global executive search firm, said: "Unlike the big European banks or the FTSE 100, the broader financial services sector hasn't been under the same spotlight in terms of diversity and now it has some catching up to do."
