A tool manufacturer and injection moulding firm in Co Antrim has been lauded for its work in the aerospace industry.

IPC Mouldings in Carrickfergus was recognised in B/E Aerospace's supply chain programme for its performance.

The company supplies engineering services to aerospace firms, with a focus on plastic components for aircraft interiors.

Managing director Joanne Liddle said it was "delighted" to be recognised by the programme.

"It has allowed us to develop skills and capabilities which will ensure a culture of continuous improvement within our organisation," she said.

"Our significant growth has come as a result of strategic partnerships and our growing reputation as one of Northern Ireland's leading tool manufacturer and injection moulding companies."

Invest NI supports companies taking part in the programme - and its skills director Niall Casey said the bronze award was "an important accolade" for IPC Mouldings.
