Hard Rock brings together Ballymena expertise

By Amanda Poole

Two Ballymena companies are nearing the completion of a contract for Hard Rock International in Belgium.

Construction and interior specialist Patton is currently working on the strip-out, build and fit-out of a new Hard Rock Cafe in Brussels, partnered with the Galgorm Group which is supplying the catering equipment.

The 5,800 sq ft building is due to open this summer as a rock merchandise shop and live music venue that seats up to 150 people.

Patton's commercial manager Alan Taylor said: "Patton already has a close association with Hard Rock Cafe, having worked on new build and refurbished outlets for the company in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.

"For the Brussels project, we were able to use our experience and expertise with heritage buildings to meet the demands of converting a 17th century building with heritage status into a modern cafe that met all the requirements of the Hard Rock brand."

Mr Taylor said Patton's recommended Galgorm for the job because of its proficiency in this area and said he looked forward to working with Galgorm on future Hard Rock contracts.
