Food firm Henderson has landed a £2m deal to supply the latest US-style burger bar chain to hit Northern Ireland.

Ed's Easy Diner has now opened its doors as part of the new Boucher Square development in the Boucher Road commercial area of south Belfast. And Mallusk-based Henderson Foodservice will supply up to 200 food and drink products to the UK-owned chain as part of a two-year deal.

Ed's Easy Diner has created 25 new jobs at its first restaurant in Northern Ireland.

It comes after the Belfast Telegraph revealed the US-style burger bar would be the first eatery opening its doors as part of the major development.

Two other companies have already let out units, including big-name brand Costa Coffee and the Italian restaurant chain Frankie and Benny's.

Boucher Square's units include in excess of 12,000 sq ft of restaurant space.
