A Belfast hotel group has installed free wireless internet in all its premises.

Andras House has teamed up with Bitbuzz to offer the free service in the busy Days and Ibis properties in addition to services already provided at the Ramada Plaza and Holiday Inn Express hotels in Belfast.

Bitbuzz is the only wholly-owned Irish telecoms company focused entirely on the Wi-Fi market and was founded in 2003.

The firm currently has over 430 Wi-Fi hotspots and over 11,003 hotel bedrooms in its network in Ireland and the UK, with further expansion planned for 2012 to meet growing demand.

Andras House director, Rajesh Rana said that the expansion was part of the BackinBelfast campaign to help attract people to stay in the city.

"We understand the importance of fast and free Wi-Fi particularly to business travellers and have decided to introduce this as part of the campaign to showcase what the city has to offer everyone," he said.
