IT company lands major contract with top technology firm

A Belfast IT firm has secured major investment from a leading UK technology company.

Montal Computer Services, which provides professional IT services to organisations across Great Britain, has invested an undisclosed amount in CMI.

CMI employs 25 staff and provides IT to over 200 private and voluntary sector businesses.

The firm has seen trade increase by 20% with the win of a number of major contracts.

Ken Roulston, joint managing director of CMI, said that the firm was "delighted to have found an investor that shared CMI's vision for the future".

"This will further strengthen market position and facilitate plans for growth and investment in staff, customers and new technology," he said.

Colin Sales, managing director of Montal, said: "We are delighted to have invested in CMI given their strong track record in the Northern Ireland market, their commitment to their customers and more importantly their ambitions for growth.

"We are very excited at the opportunities our collaboration will produce, especially within the housing association, charity and small to medium-sized enterprise sectors."

Based in Dorking, Surrey, Montal was established in 1985. The company employs 45 staff and has an annual turnover of £5m.
