A partnership with one of Northern Ireland’s most innovative new online businesses and a leading Belfast courier company is set to help local SMEs save hundreds of pounds on delivery costs this year.

NIParcels.com, which is the only website in Northern Ireland that allows customers to compare and book couriers online at competitive prices is already shipping to more than 200 countries worldwide, and is now working in partnership with Captain Courier to deliver items across Belfast at majorly discounted rates.

The company was created late last year by Belfast entrepreneur Paul Stewart, aged 24, on account of the high level of interest in his online student courier company, Uni Baggage.

He says, “Although Uni Baggage is primarily for students shipping belongings to university, when an increasing number of local business owners were started using the service, I realised there was a specific need in the business community that wasn’t being met. Courier companies are often out of the reach of small businesses that do not send thousands of parcels and therefore cannot get competitive rates. NIParcels.com allows the customer to book online using our contracts with multiple couriers so they are able to get the best prices and fastest delivery times. We do not require credit checks or minimum shipping requirements and our prices are on average 50% cheaper than going to the courier directly.”

The partnership with Captain Courier means that customers can send parcels and documents the same day across Belfast for as little as £5.99. Although NIParcels.com also uses national couriers such as FedEx, Parcelforce, and DHL when shipping outside Belfast, Mr Stewart says he is looking forward to working with the Belfast company.

“We know our customers will benefit from working with Captain Courier on account of its excellent reputation and links with the business community. The partnership is set to be a win win for both companies as it will help generate additional revenue for Captain Courier and it also means NIParcels.com customers will have a reliable, door-to-door service when they need something transported urgently and securely across the city. “
