Lunch isn't for wimps: T13 Crane View Kitchens, Queen's Island, Belfast
Belfast based collaborative, The Pit Crew, has added a culinary string to its edgy, urban bow.
They've opened Crane View Kitchens (CVK) inside the T13 warehouse, opposite Titanic Belfast.
Footage from the BMX park inside T13 features on the new Northern Ireland Tourist Board 'ni2012' TV ad.
And when Barbadian pop princess Rihanna wasn't in a Co Down field shocking Farmer Graham with her flesh-baring antics, she filmed part of her infamous We Found Love video there last year.
Now the shared cultural space houses the CVK employability project, which offers you the chance to lunch like a docker, with a theatrical twist.
A team of volunteers has worked hard to recreate the aesthetic and atmosphere of a docker's lunch room, so while you tuck in to traditional Northern Irish food, you're treated to Titanic themed live theatre.
On arrival at the new eaterie, my thirst was quenched by a pint of Titanic Ale.
Then in steel-worker style I devoured a tasty big bowl of beef stew, accompanied by a buttered Belfast bap and bottled milk.
I even managed to find room for a great cup of strong tea, plus a fruit-laden spice ring.
Simple, tasty, hearty grub, sourced from a network of local suppliers, including Belfast Meats and Jeffers Home Bakery.
A great value, fun experience for tourists, locals and those clients you're keen to show what Belfast is made of. CVK opens to the public on Wednesday, March 28.
