Merchant Hotel invests in major refurbishment

The Merchant Hotel in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter has unveiled its new conferencing facilities, which are part of a £16m investment in the five star venue.

The facilities, which cost £1.4m, include an air purification system which boosts oxygen levels by 30%, and a colour psychology lighting system to maximise delegates’ attention and productivity.

Other features include high-speed wireless broadband, a concealed cloakroom in every meeting room, built-in sound and vision equipment, and air conditioning and heating controls.

Bill Wolsey, owner of Merchant Hotel, said: “We are thrilled with the new meeting and conferencing suites, and I am confident that local businesses will be equally as delighted as they will be able to access everything they need in one room.

“At The Merchant Hotel we are dedicated to tailor-making facilities and experiences that add value to our clients’ businesses, and I believe that once again we have succeeded in doing this.”
