My Inspiration: Anna Mulvenna

Anna Mulvenna has shown drive and determination

TotalMobile's Antrim Marketing executive feels that versatility, adaptability and innovation are what is needed to thrive in a fast-paced environment such as mobile technology

In my role as marketing executive at TotalMobile, part of Consilium Technologies Group in Antrim, I have found that my greatest assets are determination and the ability to adapt and change.

The first of these I learned from my father, a tremendous source of inspiration. After he left university, his first job was as a van driver. He took every opportunity at that company and within weeks he had been promoted to manager. Even now, he never stops trying to reach his full potential.

This showed me that if you can get a foot in the door, you have the chance to prove what you are capable of achieving. He taught me to never sell myself short in my career or life in general.

I find that business and technology often reflect life. As in nature, those who adapt to their surroundings, thrive. Those who are rigid in their ideas and ways of doing things, often become obsolete. Human beings have come so far because of our ability to learn from others and from our own mistakes.

Working in a fast-paced industry like mobile technology has shown me how quickly things can evolve. Devices, software, ideas and even the language used changes and improves constantly. If you want to be the best, you have to stay one step ahead, and that means you have to innovate.

Marketing the TotalMobile brand is a great exercise in learning, adapting and originality. I find this very inspirational. Every day I learn new things, how to work differently. We are always adapting to changes within the communications industry.

We believe in innovation, both in terms of our software and in the marketing campaigns we use to win new business in target markets including the US. I also draw great inspiration from the team I work alongside because they are never afraid to try new ideas.

Our software is designed to make it easy for our clients to work smarter and be more efficient in everything they do. It gives people the freedom to work away from the office without the administration piling up. We're helping people adapt to a rapidly changing world by giving them tools they need to work in a new, and better way.

As a company, the solution we offer our clients is versatility. By having a range of pick-and-choose applications, the solution can be easily adapted to meet the needs of almost any employee working away from the office. It also works on almost any device.

The concept is simple and straightforward and has been proven by customers here and abroad to be highly effective. This inspired me to employ a flexible approach when it comes to marketing the technology. Versatility and adaptability are central to success in the technology sector in all business areas, not just product development.
