New Park Inn hotel brings 60 full-time jobs to Belfast

Another international hotel chain is opening in Belfast this month to help meet demand from the growing number of foreign visitors.

The £23m Park Inn will open its doors in the city centre on December 15 creating 60 full-time jobs and more part-time posts, it was announced yesterday.

Park Inn is part of the giant Carlson hotel group which includes the Radisson and Park Plaza chains.

The mid-market hotel aimed at both business and leisure visitors will offer 145 rooms, including 10 business friendly, eight wheelchair accessible and 12 that interconnect.

It will also have seven flexible meeting and conference rooms — one with access to a roof terrace. There is also a fitness suite, sauna and steam room.

General Manager Gerard Kelly said: “We are very excited to soon be opening the doors to this fantastic hotel, literally in the heart of the city, a few minutes stroll from all the shops, theatres and the main business district.

“The facilities are excellent and we look forward to welcoming guests from both the local area and further afield and to giving them the Park Inn experience.”

Park Inn Belfast will also be home to one of the first RBG Bar & Grills to open in the UK. The first opened last month in the Park Inn Cardiff.
