New Randox service improves access to health testing
Northern Ireland medical diagnostics giant Randox Health has launched a new service which will allow people across the UK and Republic to access its innovative medical tests.
The Co Antrim company has implemented a mobile phlebotomist service which allows customers to request a phlebotomist - someone who is trained and qualified to take blood - to come to a place of their choosing to take blood samples.
It is the latest move by the company - the largest diagnostics company in the UK - to increase accessibility to tests such as their Everyman and Everywoman tests.
The trained Randox health professionals can be booked on the phone or through the newly launched Randox Health app.
Katie Coyle, Randox Health global business manager, said the service is a groundbreaking development that will transform the delivery of healthcare in the UK and Ireland.
Randox founder Dr Peter FitzGerald said the company wants to ensure that anyone who wants to take control of their future through preventive healthcare can do so.
